Returning to New York City, The Experience perform at the Madison Square Garden with support from the Buddy Miles Express. The show attended by a sell-out crowd of more than 19,000 fans witnessed a staggering line-up of hit songs including "Lover Man," "Purple Haze," and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)." At some point during the day, Hendrix pens the story "I Escaped from the Roman Coliseum."
